LG HVAC Errors

Technical Specification Overview

The LG CH67 outdoor fan operates on a voltage range of 220-240VAC and typically functions within a pressure threshold of 30-40 PSI. The system relies on digital communication protocols to send and receive operational commands between the indoor and outdoor units, ensuring synchronized performance.

Troubleshooting Checklist

  • Power Supply Check: Use a digital multimeter to measure AC voltage at the outdoor unit's power input terminals. Confirm it is within the 220-240VAC range. Any abnormal readings indicate a power supply issue.
  • Fan Motor Inspection: Disconnect the fan motor connector and check for continuity using an ohmmeter. The resistance should be between 1-10 ohms. A reading of infinity suggests a faulty motor winding.
  • Control Board Assessment: Inspect the PCB for burnt components or cold solder joints. Repair or replace damaged components as necessary. Verify the integrity of all solder connections.
  • Input Signal Verification: With the unit powered on, measure the DC voltage at the fan motor control terminals on the PCB. Expected readings should be between 12-15VDC while the fan is in operation. A reading of 0V indicates a control board failure or signal interruption.
  • Sensor Calibration: Check the temperature and pressure sensors for accurate readings. Use a calibrated thermometer and manifold gauge for verification. Variations outside standard operating parameters may require sensor replacement.
  • Fan Blade Obstruction Check: Inspect the fan for debris or obstructions. Manually rotate the fan blades; they should spin freely without resistance. Any blockage must be cleared to restore functionality.
  • Electrical Connections Examination: Tighten all terminal connections to the fan motor and control board. Corroded or loose connections can cause signal loss and operational faults.
  • System Reset: Perform a hard reset by turning off the power supply for 5 minutes. Reconnect and restart to see if the error code clears. This can resolve temporary glitches.
