Bosch HVAC Errors

Technical Specification Overview

Bosch appliances equipped with pressure switches typically operate within a voltage range of 24VDC to 30VDC, with expected pressure thresholds usually between 1-2 bar for normal functionality. The pressure switch communicates status back to the control board, closing the circuit under normal pressure conditions and opening it during faults.

Troubleshooting Checklist

  • Verify power supply to the pressure switch by using a digital multimeter to check for DC voltage. Measure across the terminals; the normal range should be between 24VDC and 30VDC. A reading of 0V indicates a potential issue in the power delivery circuit.
  • Inspect the pressure switch for any visible signs of physical damage or contamination. Check for blockages in the diaphragm or port that may impede airflow. Clean thoroughly if any obstructions are present.
  • Use a digital multimeter to check resistance across the switch terminals. The ohm reading should fluctuate as the switch actuates. A constant high/low reading suggests a defective switch.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the pressure switch. Measure continuity across the connecting wires using the digital multimeter in the continuity setting. An infinite reading indicates an open circuit that requires further investigation.
  • Perform a pressure test using a calibrated pressure gauge connected to the system's pressure port. Ensure the pressure matches the specification during pump operation. If it’s significantly lower, investigate pump performance or obstruction in water flow.
  • Check for error logs or diagnostic codes via the Bosch diagnostic tool if available. Error codes can provide precise indications of failure modes that might not be outwardly visible.
  • If no faults are apparent, reset the control module by turning off the power supply for 5 minutes. This can clear transient faults that may cause the C6 error code.
  • Reassess the internal connections and terminals at the control board for any signs of corrosion or loose connections that may indirectly trigger the pressure switch fault.
